Editorial Story Session
A focused editorial session for images with clarity, atmosphere, and a strong visual point of view.
A More Personal Way to Shape Your Story
I build each session around the artist, subject, or publication's creative direction. Before the shoot, I take time to understand the intended audience, visual references, and story the images need to carry. This creates a clear foundation for the location, styling, pacing, and overall mood.
During the session, I offer thoughtful direction while leaving room for natural expression and unexpected moments. The final images are polished and cohesive, with enough variety to support an editorial feature, artist profile, or creative campaign. Every frame is made to feel intentional, distinctive, and connected to the larger story.
Ideal For
Artists preparing a feature or profile
Publications developing an editorial story
Creative teams needing a cohesive image set
Subjects seeking polished visual storytelling
How It Works
Share Your Direction: We discuss the story, references, intended use, and visual tone.
Shape The Session: I refine the setting, styling, and shoot plan around the concept.
Create The Images: I direct and photograph the session, then prepare a polished editorial collection.

About
Jarrod Anthonee is a photographer, filmmaker, and creative director with over a decade of experience creating visual work across music, fashion, touring, and commercial campaigns.
His career has taken him from the road with artists to sets with brands, developing photography, film, and creative direction built around storytelling rather than trends. His work blends a cinematic approach with the honesty of documentary photography often pulling inspiration from Americana, music culture, vintage fashion, and the imperfect texture of film.
Throughout his career, Jarrod has worked alongside established and emerging artists, labels, brands, and creative teams, contributing to everything from album artwork and artist imagery to campaigns, short-form content, live performance, and branded films.
Whether directing a campaign, documenting life on tour, or building the visual identity around an artist, his approach remains the same: create imagery that feels lived in, intentional, and culturally authentic.
Based in Tennessee and working worldwide.
