I build each session around the artist, subject, or publication's creative direction. Before the shoot, I take time to understand the intended audience, visual references, and story the images need to carry. This creates a clear foundation for the location, styling, pacing, and overall mood.
During the session, I offer thoughtful direction while leaving room for natural expression and unexpected moments. His career has taken him from the road with artists to sets with brands, developing photography, film, and creative direction built around storytelling rather than trends. His work blends a cinematic approach with the honesty of documentary photography often pulling inspiration from Americana, music culture, vintage fashion, and the imperfect texture of film.
Throughout his career, Jarrod has worked alongside established and emerging artists, labels, brands, and creative teams, contributing to everything from album artwork and artist imagery to campaigns, short-form content, live performance, and branded films.
